Earth Potential Earthing Sheet: User Instructions

  • Take the grounding sheet out of the box and remove it from the plastic bag.
  • Secure the sheet to the mattress by fixing the elasticated skirt of the fitted sheet around the four corners of your mattress.
  • Make sure the corners are pulled firmly over the mattress edges.
  • Your earthing sheet should now be secured to the bed and should not ruck up or move around.

  • Once the sheet is in place, take the cable out of the plastic bag and fix the small white clip onto one of the two metal press studs on the patches in the corners of the sheet.
  • You need only fit one white clip to one of the press studs to connect the grounding sheet and for the sheet to be earthed.
  • Two press studs are provided for convenience and we suggest that you use the one nearest a 13amp socket.
  • Take the other end of the cable with the metal prong and push the metal prong into one of the two holes in the grounding plug provided with the sheet.
  • The connection may be a little stiff on the first insertion.
  • Only one metal pin needs to be inserted into one of the holes in the plug for the sheet to be connected to the plug.

  • If you are using an Earth Potential pillowcase, this can be connected to the grounding plug in the same way as the sheet, using the second hole in the same plug.
  • So the sheet will be connected through one hole in the plug and the pillowcase in the other.
  • However, if you prefer you can use the separate plug provided with the Earth Potential pillowcase.

  • If you would like to test to make sure that your socket has a ground connection and that the sheet is grounded, then you can use one of Earth Potential’s socket testers which are available for purchase on Amazon UK.
  • The socket needs to be turned on to power the socket tester but then can be turned off after the test.
  • The middle and right-hand LEDs light up green to show a correctly wired socket with a ground connection.
  • Any other indication shows a fault and you should refer this to a qualified electrician.
